LCA as part of itsimplementation plan has worked towards
boosting the livelihoods of 1,200 young people

In regards to livelihoods, the LCA as part of its implementation plan has worked towards boosting the livelihoods of 1,200 young people including refugees through providing them with entrepreneurship, vocational and employability skills for national and refugee skills to support them start their own businesses or get gainful employment. This was done based on a needs assessment that was carried out to assess the skills gaps among this target group. The LCA also aims to increase their access to financial services through organising them into self help groups, a current in going exercise to enable them meet their immediate financial needs. Overall, a number of were formed during the implementation of JAP II as a way of economically empowering them.

The livelihoods component of the project surpassed expectations, achieving 174% of its overall targets. this suggests a strong impact on income levels and the economic well-being of individuals and households.
