LCA UGANDA

Welcome to LCA Uganda

LCA Uganda is a coalition of Thirteen LNOs designing and implementing development and humanitarian actions that meet the livelihoods, education, health and protection needs of the most marginalized populations of Kampala.

OUR Programs

Health

This is aimed at maximizing the impact on the communities within which the LCA is working as during the implementation, many gaps were identified that needed interventions although these were catered for through the adoptive planning approach to work by the LCA, there is still a need to address these gaps.

EDUCATION

During an assessment carried out by the LCA, it was also discovered that there was a decline in enrollment of pupils from academic year 2022 and 2023 in all the five divisions of Kampala. The LCA member organisations carried out a joint assessment in seventeen government aided schools in all five divisions of Kampala; Makindye, Rubaga, Central, Kawempe and Nakawa.

CHILD PROTECTION

The livelihoods component of the project surpassed expectations, achieving 174% of its overall targets. this suggests a strong impact on income levels and the economic well-being of individuals and households.

In regards to livelihoods, the LCA as part of its implementation plan has worked towards boosting the livelihoods of 1,200 young people including refugees through providing them with entrepreneurship, vocational and employability skills for national and refugee skills to support them start their own businesses or get gainful employment.
